Elberta, Alabama - Homes for Sale

Elberta is a small town located in South Baldwin County sandwiched between the beautiful beaches of Gulf Shores Alabama and the beaches in Pensacola Florida.  It was founded in 1904 by farmers who had emigrated from Germany.  The land was advertised as being “the land of milk and honey” with rich soil and having a climate that allowed year-round farming.

Elberta is part of the Baldwin County School System and currently has two great public schools, Elberta Elementary School (K-3) and Elberta Middle School (4-8).   The students continue to Foley High School (9-12) in Foley.

Due to the location of Elberta, it is a great place to live. You can have the best of both worlds by living in a small rural town, and being minutes away from bigger cities and the Gulf of Mexico.  If waterfront property is what you are looking for, Elberta also has various bays and creeks.
